Parking and Road Update

Image
We received additional snow over the last several days. The parking area at 911 and the road in from there has been groomed several times. Conditions for parking are good but note that this is packed snow.

Winter Update

Image
It's mid-January and the weather conditions are typical...  very cold. We are experiencing our second cold snap. We have had some more snow, amounting to about 4 inches on the ice.  The grooming of the road to and from 911 continues and makes it a smooth ride for the snowmobiles and ATVs. Thank you Peter Healy!  A bit of news about the parking at 911. John's tractor is unable to clear the area due to mechanical troubles. John is addressing this but it may be a week or more before resolved. Peter has dragged the parking lot with his trail groomer resulting in good parking conditions at this time. The groomer packs down the snow and our cars / trucks can easily park. As a back-up, we have a small tractor with a snow thrower that we will use to help keep the parking lot cleared of snow if needed. Hoping that John is able to soon get on top of that tractor of his! We will keep you updated.

Happy New Year! The holidays did not disappoint, the lake remained frozen and by the last weekend, cold temperatures added to the ice thickness.
